Fashion - Burberry London

The only one brand that I admire the most in the universe is Burberry. I knew about it a year ago—hahaha, I’m not very update in fashion when I went to college. First time I saw it, I knew that I would fall in love with the designs for whole time and heart in my life. The design is so sharp, stylish, iconic, expensive and british, especially for the tartan pattern. I thought I saw Emma Watson when the first time I fell in love with Burberry. Since then, I always try to catch the up date from Burberry, you can go visit the site www.burberry.com or in facebook. The Chief Creative Officer is Christopher Bailey.

Beside the designs, I love the models too. They look beautiful, charming and gorgerous, and look so perfect in Burberry style. Like Agyness Deyn, Lily Donaldson, Emma Watson, George Craig, Caspar Smyth, etc. Well, they’re british, right? Lol.

Well, Burberry is a British luxury fashion house, manufacturing clothing, fragrance, and fashion accessories. Its distinctive tartan pattern has become one of its most widely copied trademarks. Burberry is most famous for its iconic trench coat, which was invented by founder Thomas Burberry. He founded Burberry in 1856 when he was 21 year old—OMG, see? Sometimes life is so unfair. He’s a former draper’s apprentice and opened his own store in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. Burberry was the original name, but then the company soon switched to using the name Burberrys, after many customers from around the world calling it Burberrys of London. This name is still visible on many older Burberry products. In 1891, Burberry opened a shop in the Haymarket, London, which still exists and untill recently was the site of Burberry’s corporate headquarters. Now the headquarters are at Horseferry House just behind Houses of Parliament, Westminter, London.

You know, nowadays there’s lot of brand hijacking. Not only for Burberry, Gucci, Channel, YSL and LV are always shown in common or traditional market with low price—sorry for you who dont live in Indonesia, I think you can’t get the Gucci bag with $3 price outside Indonesia. I love the Burberry logo, the Equestrian Knight logo
, which was developed containing the Latin word “Prorsum”, meaning forwards and registered as a trademark in 1901.

In 1911, they became the outfitters for Roald Amundsen, the first man to reach the South Pole, and Ernest Shackleton who led a 1914 expedition to cross Antartica. A burberry gabardine jacket was worn by George Mallory on his ill-fated attempt on Mount Everest in 1924. In 1914 Burberry was commissioned by the War Office to adapt its officer’s coat to suit the conditions of contemporary warfare, resulting in the trench coat. After the war, the trench coat became popular with civilians. The iconic Burberry check was created in 1920s and used as a lining in its trench coats. Hey, I just checked out the site and found Art of The Trench. But it loaded too slow for me, hope not happening with you ;)

Burberry operates under 5 brands:
• Burberry London: The primary brand, used for the vast majority of products
• Burberry Brit
• Burberry Prorsum
• Burberry Sport
• Thomas Burberry
If you are in England, you can visit the Burberry Factory Store in 29-53 Chatham place, Hackney, London E9 6LP, UK. This is the Official Burberry Outlet Store which sells items on a first come first served basis. The stock is constantly changing and the only way to buy from this Burberry factory shop is to visit the store in East London - they do not sell stock by mail order from this location. The store open from Monday to Saturday at 10 am – 6 pm, and on Sunday from 11 am – 5 pm.

Well, they don't pay me for the advertise but I want to do that :)Here's the clue for you for finding the place easily.
